The Association of American Dancing (AAD)

The Association of American Dancin (AAD) was founded by a group of British and American teachers under the directions of Judy Cholerton and Fred Astaire, with contributions from other performers such as Gene Kelly. The aim of the group being to maintain the traditions of authentic American Tap.

Board of British Dance Qualifications and Training (BDQT)

The L.A.D is a member of the above training body, whose purpose is to scrutinise and regulate the syllabuses and dance practices of all associations granted affiliation to it.  Their aim is to maintain the high level of ability required to teach dance both effectively and safely to a high nationally recognised standard.
