Hello

My name is Janine Clark. I am Principal of The Loughborough Academy of Dance.

Dance is not just my job but my passion.

I have been married to Kevin since 1983. We have three children - Christopher, Victoria and Kodi and three grandchildren - Isla, Ethan and Freya.

My Story

I have danced since the age of 5, being taught by my mother, Grace Freeman. I started helping at my mother’s dance school when I was 12 years of age. I gained my student exams in the subjects of ballet, tap, modern and acrobatics and then progressed onto my teacher’s qualifications. My mother closed her dance school and retired when I was 18.

After a short while of not teaching dance, I decided it was time for me to start my own school. This dream became a reality in September of 1978.

The school has grown in strength and numbers and I am so grateful of everyone, past and present, for their continued support.
